Tradelink engaged us to map out a performance-based induction program for new starters (sales) that extended throughout their 6-month probationary period. The final product was a Learning Passport that divided development activities and performance checks into proficiency levels that were identified as L, Red P and Green P plates. The passport included built-in performance discussions at each proficiency level to ensure regular feedback supported progression through the levels.

To deliver the outcome InspHIGHER established:

  • a meta and micro educational design model
  • a job roles competency framework
  • performance based assessment activities and checklists
  • underpinning scaffolding activities.

The passport was so successful, Tradelink re-purposed the framework for new starters in other business areas across the organisation.
